Malacca, also known as Melaka, is pretty well-known as Malaysia's best historical state and Malaysia's oldest port. Although small in size, Malacca has much to offer Singapore visitors in search of cultural enrichment and historical sights. The capital is called Malacca Town which is a must for all travellers. You can join historial tours including visit to St. Paul's Hill and Malaysia's oldest temple - Cheng Hoon Teng as well as the old town of Bandar Hilir.
Malacca is on the southwestern coast opposite Sumatra, with the state of Negeri Sembilan to the north and Johor to the South East. Malacca is also situated two-thirds of the way down the West coast, 148 km south of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia and 245 km north of Singapore and commanding a central position on the Straits of Malacca.
