| Description: | The history of Five Foot Way (FFW) was dated back to days of Sir Stamford Raffles in 1800s when he ruled that all buildings should have a 5 feet walkway outside the corridor to shelter people from rain and shine. In the 1970s, settlers in Singapore began to start their simple trading businesses on this walkway. It became a lifestyle icon during those days where people gathered to eat, drink, chat and lived. This walkway was known as Five Foot Way. |
